This gilt-bronze standing statue of Maitreya from the 7th to 8th century is extremely exquisite. It holds a lotus in its left hand and performs the giving seal with its right hand. It has a tall and straight posture, a calm face, and a pagoda in front of the bun on its head. It is an early representation of Maitreya Bodhisattva. This statue should be a typical royal statue from the early Sriwijaya period, which is very rare.
